Kevin Adams founded the Law Office of Kevin Adams in Livonia, MI in the year 2000, after working for many years prior as a Certified Public Accountant.

Mr. Adams rebranded the firm in 2019, and Adams Law moved operations to Plymouth, Michigan to better serve its clientele. Mr. Adams fostered the growth of his once solo tax practice to its now comprised multi-member, multi-attorney, boutique law firm focusing on the broad categories of tax, business, and estate law. The heart of Adams Law still centers on its tax practice; boasting two full-time CPA’s, Adams Law continues to file over 500 income tax returns every year.

Mr. Adams is a graduate of the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor (B.A. 1978), University of Michigan-Dearborn (MBA 1983), and The Michigan State University, Detroit College of Law (J.D. 1997). Mr. Adams is a licensed attorney, Certified Public Accountant, and a licensed real estate broker in the state of Michigan. Mr. Adams is a former tenured college professor, and former program director of the American Bar Association’s approved Paralegal Studies Program at Henry Ford Community College, in Dearborn Michigan. He is a long-standing member of the MICPA, and the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the Michigan Bar. Kevin practices Estate Planning and Probate Law, Tax Law, Business Law, and Elder Law.

Practice Focused on Tax & Mortgage Law

Philip DeLoach is an equity Partner at Adams Law, where he focuses his practice on business, tax, and mortgage law. He serves as outside general counsel for a number of businesses – including serving on the board of directors for one – and advises on corporate governance, transactions, and the legal and tax implications of individual and business matters. He also prepares and reviews tax returns and represents clients in IRS audits and Michigan Tax Tribunal hearings.

Philip began his legal career in Florida in 2014 and joined Adams Law in 2016, where he helped grow the firm’s business and real estate practice alongside its established tax work. He later served as Vice President, General Counsel, and Managing Broker for one of Michigan’s largest real estate brokerage franchises, and as Chief Legal Officer of three privately-held warehouse mortgage lenders. He returned to Adams Law as a partner in 2023, bringing practical experience from the real estate and mortgage industries to the firm’s existing legal services.

Philip currently serves on the Northville Township Board of Review. He is also a qualified Michigan real estate instructor, and a credentialed tax preparer. He is a graduate of Michigan State University (B.A. 2011) and Ave Maria School of Law (J.D. 2014).

Jordan J. George

Jordan George is an associate attorney at Adams Law, licensed in Michigan. Mr. George is a graduate of Michigan State College of Law (J.D. 2025, Cum Laude) and also holds degrees from Michigan State University (B.A. 2020) and Michigan State’s Broad College of Business (MBA 2025).

Mr. George was Managing Editor of the Michigan State Law Review, a member of Michigan State Law School’s Michigan Leadership Initiative, co-founder of the MSU Business and Law Association, and President of the MBA Association, among other membership and leadership positions. Mr. George is also a proud member of the Hellenic and Orthodox communities, within which he has a history of leadership and service.

Mr. George also has a breadth of prior experience, having held various roles in public affairs at the state and national level, the legal team of a unicorn startup (valued at over $1 billion), and the contracts and legal departments of a defense contractor.

Mr. George utilizes his broad academic and professional experiences to assist clients with their business, corporate, partnership, contract, and tax law needs.

Anastasia N. Piwko, CPA

Ms. Anastasia N. Piwko, CPA, is a Certified Public Accountant, and head of the income tax department at Adams Law. Anastasia leads the team in filing over 500 income tax returns every year, comprising both individual and business/partnership tax forms. Anastasia is a credentialed tax preparer and represents clients in IRS and State of Michigan tax audits.
Anastasia assists the law office in a paralegal capacity during the off-season and focuses on tax optimization and tax planning for our individual and business law clients. Anastasia understands and advises on the implications the probate and trust administration processes, and helps clients navigate estate, gift, and death tax avoidance.
Anastasia graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.A. 2020) and a Master of Science in Accounting with an Emphasis in Taxation (M.S. 2021).

Cole Rivers

Cole is a recurring tax and legal intern with Adams Law, and is experienced in reviewing individual tax returns, real property deeds, and trust funding documents. Cole graduated from Michigan State University (B.A. 2023).

Courtney M. Nagel

Ms. Courtney M. Nagel, as a dual-licensed Michigan attorney and Michigan real estate broker, is the full-time owner and operator of Mitten Homes Realty.

Ms. Nagel works as Of Counsel to Adams Law, and advises in the area of Real Estate law, particularly with regard to the purchase and sale of residential real property. Courtney uses her knowledge of the real estate industry and her experience in the probate and estate processes to assist clients with their real estate sale and purchase needs throughout Metro Detroit’s tri-county area.
